2011 at an end

so 2011 is at an end and its been an interesting year to say the least!!!!

very interesting on a political basis, especially dictator wise, a bunch of them just decided to give up the fight as they would say, lol!
In asia we had the death of Kim Jong Il due to heart failure
In the Arab states we had Hosni Muburak of egypt ousted, as well as Moammar Gadhafi killed in the libyan uprising. also president of yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh resigned after being in power for 30 years.
also in Tunisia, president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali that ran his country for 24 years resigned.

very interesting that all of a sudden so many of them give up at the same time as they would say.

we also saw the controversial execution Osama Bin Laden...

this is one of 4 time magazine covers in this style...

Nando's a local chicken fast food restaurant here in SA is known for their funny as hell adverts always playing on the news of the day, made an add including a bunch of beloved dictators, and the main star of the add the ever lasting mr. robert mugabe.
funny as hell video!!!

no except for all the bad stuff that happened i know there must have been a lot of good stuff as well, just can't remember any of it, funny how the bad stuff you always remember...

but anyway folks i wish you all a happy new year and a prosperous future!!! enjoy the last bit of 2011, and lets hold thumbs for a great 2012!!!

p.s. don't go into the bathroom at 23:59 on 31/12/2011, you'll only come out next year!!!

xmas 2011

so the festive season of 2011 is half way, christmas is done and we just have new years left.

2011 has been an interesting year to say the least...
for me personally, an globally as well. globally its been interesting on an economic front, and the political to say the least (here at home, and internationally).

heres a song by tankard that sums up my feelings about xmas...

here are the lyrics for the song:

Christmas time is here again
Time to give your cash to them
At the cross is where we'll meet
Leaving presents at his feet
Buy your gifts in harmony
Feed the Christmas industry

[Chorus:]
Fuck Christmas! All the time
Now I've got my yuletide pride!
Fuck Christmas! All the time
I've got Jesus on my side!
Fuck Christmas! Fuck Christmas!
Fuck Christmas! All the time!

Jesus came and Jesus went
Look at all the cash we spent
Mother Mary you will see
Never bought a Christmas tree
Christmas is for me and me
I give only to receive

[Chorus]

Christmas time is here again ...

[Chorus]

He was fuckin' born in August anyway ...

its funny, but xmas is good. fun times with the family :-)

december holiday

so I'm having my holiday in the sleepy little town of Cape St. Francis in the eastern cape of south africa.

its a beautiful actually with a lot going for it, I've been coming here for ages, its awesome.
surrounded by nature reserve on all sides, with no room for expansion, its a real little holiday town, with one little shop, two bars and one restaurant.

it also has a world renowned surf spot called seal point, with beautiful waves running for ages. the first time this spot came to international light was in the 1966 surf documentary, the endless  summer.

the village, (and i call it a village because of its small size), maybe house round about 30 permanent residents and about 250 residents during the peak holiday seasons.
its an amazing place to get away from it all.

now the towns fragile ecosystem has recently come under attack, by eskoms plans to build a nuclear power plant at thyspunt. now it will be about 30km's away from us, but the economic impact of it will be massive.
now the local community has really pulled together to stop this and it looks like its working...
J-bay not too far from us has really pulled finger with this, with many campaigns sponsored by big companies running.

if any1 is ever looking for a great holiday spot, to chill and get away from it all, check this place out. its awesome.

ill bill

even though I'm a metal head through and through, i listen to various genres of music. and one man that i think every one should check out, is a rapper that goes by the name of ill bill. this man has some of the craziest rhymes I've ever heard in my life.

he's not like your average rapper that raps about money, woman and being a gangster. he raps about real life and experiences and mixes it with heavy metal, dark and anti-religous views.

finally a rapper normal people can relate to. this man is something else. himself being a metal fan as well, he samples dragonforce and slayer, has a song that he sings with max cavalera and another with howard jones, he sings about slayer and megadeth.

i give the boy mad props, a real rapper!

heres the video for the song with max cavalera, war is my destiny...

ill post a link here for their website, check them out, they damn good, ill post a few photos i took tomorrow, way too lazy rot take them off my phone now.

funny kid

this i found pretty funny.
its a clip from the 1986 heavy metal parking lot movie, a drunk metal kid giving his review on punk music.
i like him, except for the dokken, twisted sister and scorpions reference, fags...

thrash won't die

so I've realized in the past few months that there are a lot of so called "metal fans" that give THRASH (arguably the Best genre of metal), a lot of flack. now i wonder they would do this, look i know it isn't for everyone, it does have an acquired taste, but!!!! everyone that even listen the slights bit of metal has to give thrash all its props, cause every metal band of today has influences of some of the bands from the 1980's.

i think the 80's were the golden age for thrash music, and it did kinda drop off the radar in the early 90's ( thanx cobain you ass). but still the big 4 persevered and kept playing the heavy stuff. and now in 2nd decade of the new century thrash has had a massive resurgence.

look these bands have all been going for a while, but the were kept on the "d-low" so to speak, but they are getting a lot mire exposure these days, magazines, the net, internet radio, bigger labels, the whole shebang.
this is awesome, it shows you the original heaviest hardest and fastest genre is not gonna go out anytime soon...

as paul bailiff said in exodus's bonded by blood : murder in the front row as the crowd begins to bang, and there is blood upon the stage!!!
